The AAT Training Provider Awards once again celebrated achievements across the accountancy education sector and AAT community.
And yet again they marked an incredible evening for Premier Training!
Recognised with the Distance Learning Training Provider of the Year award in 2024, the Premier team and students were honoured to receive this prestigious award for the second consecutive year.
The award highlighted and recognised Premier Training’s commitment to six key areas across qualification attainment and support:
- Continuous improvement plan developed – generating higher pass rates
- Launch of sector-first practical work experience programme
- Assessment support measures implemented
- Social mobility initiatives increased and expanded
- Additional support for local communities
- Mental health support and guidance
The evening was to become more special when Premier Training tutor Alan Dawson received the highly coveted Special Recognition Award.
Alan has been a Premier Training tutor for almost two decades, supporting and mentoring thousands of AAT distance learning students. He has also authored more than 50 study manuals and workbooks, including a ‘Maths for Accounting’ manual which has proven invaluable to countless new students.
‘Life-changing excellence’ at AAT Training Provider Awards
Now in their ninth year, the AAT Training Provider Awards recognise the life-changing excellence of AAT’s training provider partners who collectively teach more than 65,000 learners studying towards AAT qualifications every year.
Ten category awards were presented at the event on Thursday 13th March in Solihull. They included best small, medium and large training provider of the year, best international provider, best distance learning provider, and best training provider of AAT’s highly regarded apprenticeship programme. Individual excellence was also recognised through student, tutor, and apprentice awards, alongside a special 11th award announced on the night.
“These awards showcase the transformative power of vocational accountancy education,” said Claire Bennison, AAT’s Executive Director of Customer, Partnerships and Innovation.
“The winners demonstrate how dedicated training providers are innovating and supporting student success in remarkable ways with AAT’s qualifications – opening doors to rewarding careers for more people from more backgrounds.”
