After completing his AAT Level 2 Certificate in Accounting in just eight weeks, Premier Training student Luke Carter is already more than halfway through his Level 3 qualification.
As mentioned previously, Luke’s target is to complete all three AAT Accounting levels in a year. And he is well on track after just four months of study.
He is hoping that AAT qualifications can pave the way for a career working with the ‘Big 4’ accounting firms (PwC, Deloitte, EY and KPMG) or as Chief Financial Officer of a global company.
Luke explained: “I don’t have a background in finance and I am new to the industry, so I’m still waiting for my big break!
“What I can say is I have time. Right now, financial accounting, audit and insolvency really interest me. The great thing is, as I venture through the qualifications, I could discover something completely different. The possibilities are endless and that’s what I like.”
Perhaps most importantly, is Luke enjoying the process?
“Absolutely,” he said. “I love working with numbers. I’m allowed to enjoy it because I’m not on my own. I’m part of a fantastic network here at Premier Training and the journey feels personal. The team get as excited as you do and it’s great.
“I received a welcome leaflet when I joined AAT and it said ‘Today is your opportunity to build the tomorrow you want’ and that’s what I’m doing with a little help from Premier Training.”
