I decided at the start of the year that I wanted to pursue Accountancy and chose to take the AAT Foundation Certificate in Accounting with Premier Training.
It goes without saying that distance learning in general is an incredibly convenient way to develop a skill and Premier Training’s MyPTA is a very easy-to-navigate website with all the tools necessary to learn the course, including various tests above and beyond the ones assessed by the tutors.
My course tutor, Mark Staton, was excellent. My emails were responded to in good time and assessments were marked and returned swiftly (usually 24-48 hours) with appropriate feedback where necessary. Even during the lockdown he was available to answer questions, either by phone or email.

I should add that I had a similar experience with other tutors on Mark’s days off, and they all seemed to have a ‘real world’ knowledge of the profession.
That’s important when thinking about the vital difference between having the book knowledge needed to pass a test and having the knowledge from experience needed to provide context for questions and make them relevant to the real world role.
The course helped me take this first step in a new career with confidence. The fact is that Premier Training’s tools and support are what gave me the focus I needed to get my head down and earn this new qualification.
It is for that reason I’d recommend them and why I’m not shopping around when it comes to completing my Advanced AAT.
